Ever wonder what it was like to be a Lighthouse Keeper 150 years ago? Join us for an overnight adventure and find out! Our Keeper Sleeper program is the PERFECT activity for Cub and Girl Scout Troops! This overnight adventure explores maritime history and the dangerous lives of lighthouse keepers in the 1800's.

The program includes the following activities:

  • Absecon Lighthouse's history
  • Video on lighthouse illumination and history
  • Night time climb to the top of the tower for a spectacular view of Atlantic City
  • The Great Lighthouse Challenge competition
  • Optional Ghost Stories
  • Snack and Breakfast
  • Secure on-site parking

$45.00 per person 

Available Saturday Nights all year round ** Advanced reservations are required **

7:30 pm Saturday until 9:30 am Sunday

Maximum group size is 35

SCHOOL TOURS

Kids at the LighthouseWhat is a lighthouse?  How do they work?  Why are lighthouses so brightly colored?  What did the lighthouse keeper do?

Examine the answers to all of these questions and more!

 $3.50 per student

1 FREE chaperone for every 10 students

$5.00 additional chaperones

 TO ENHANCE YOUR EXPERIENCE, COORDINATE A TRIP TO THE ABSECON LIGHTHOUSE WITH A TRIP TO THE ATLANTIC CITY AQUARIUM FOR AN ADDITONAL $4.50 per STUDENT AND $7.50 per ADDITIONAL CHAPERONE.

GROUP TOURS

Tours for groups of 10 or more people include a guided tour of the grounds, museum, lighthouse and Atlantic City history and a climb to the top of the tower.
